Fleur Hobson – Director and Solicitor
Fleur is the Director of Hobson Mills Law Limited with experience in all areas of legal private practice, focusing on trusts, estates, asset protection and relationship property matters. She also advises and assists clients with residential conveyancing transactions, Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Protection of Personal Property Rights Act 1988 applications. Fleur works hard to ensure her clients receive high quality legal advice to suit their individual circumstances.
After graduating from Victoria, Fleur worked in a large commercial firm before settling in Kapiti. Fleur believes her experience and training gained while working in a commercial setting has provided her with a good foundation, which she is now able to apply on a more personal level in the Kapiti region.
Fleur loves skiing with her four boys and still manages to play the odd soccer game. She also enjoys travelling throughout New Zealand and visiting family overseas.
Susie Mills – Consultant Solicitor
Susie assists businesses, not-for-profits orgamisations and private clients, and she also has expertise in the Public Works Act, subdivisions, easements and land covenants.
Susie also assists charities and other not-for-profit organisations with a wide range of legal matters. Approachable and friendly, Susie always focuses on providing practical solutions for her clients.
Susie was born in Wellington, but has been based in Waikanae for over 20 years. She studied law at Victoria University and completed counselling training in the 1990’s.
She has a keen interest in glass art and is also passionate about conservation. Susie is a member of the Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade, trustee of both the Kapiti AED Trust and the Assam Medical Trust and involved in Dune Restoration project.
Freya Marchant – Solicitor
Freya joined the team in 2020. She brings with her over 5 years’ experience in general practice and specialises in residential conveyancing, Wills, Enduring powers of Attorney and Trusts.
Freya grew up in Wellington and completed a BA and LLB at Victoria University. Freya comes from a large close-knit family who predominately live in Kapiti. She and her husband enjoy tramping, camping, live shows, travelling and spending time with friends, family and their fur baby Ernie the dog.
Emma Foster-Smith — Registered Legal Executive and Office Manager
Emma is a qualified Legal Executive in the property team at Hobson Mills Law Limited.
As a member of the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives she specialises in conveyancing and subdivision work, bringing to the team over 7 years of legal experience. Previously, Emma worked in the banking industry for 12 years.
Emma grew up on the Kapiti Coast where she still resides with her family. In her spare time she loves mountain biking, walking and socialising with friends. Emma is also a Firefighter with the Waikanae Volunteer Fire Brigade with currently 14 years of service and is also a trustee of the Kapiti AED Trust.
Janine Reynolds — Trust Account Manager
Janine is our trust account manager. She also plays a key role in our property team, assisting with conveyancing, refinancing and estate administration.
Janine has extensive experience of working in law firms, having been employed by her father’s law firm for more than 10 years.
Janine lives in Kapiti with her family. When not working she enjoys golf, bike riding and gardening.
Megan Burrell – Legal Secretary
Megan joined the team in 2019 having previously worked at the Wellington High Court. Megan has over 28 years’ experience in the legal sector. Megan focuses on the processing of Estates.
When not working Megan enjoys running, mountain biking spending time in the garden and home with family and friends.
Corese Bills – Legal Secretary
Corese joined the team at the beginning of 2020 and has a background in Real Estate and Banking. Corese supports our legal staff with various matters and always strives to provide a high level of service to all of our clients.
Corese loves living on the Kapiti Coast and ejoys the beach lifestyle, bike riding, yoga and having fun with family and friends.
